At Vanguard Title, we know life doesn’t stop when it’s time for your closing. That’s why we offer eSign — a secure and convenient tool that fits seamlessly into your schedule. With eSign, a significant portion of your closing documents are signed electronically, giving you the freedom to sign just about whenever and wherever you choose.
We simplify your closing experience
When you’ve got places to go and people to see, a towering stack of papers requiring your hand-written signature isn’t exactly ideal. Fortunately, the introduction in 2000 of the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-Sign Act) and the 2018 State of Michigan Electronic and Remote Notarial Acts considerably streamlined the closing experience. These Acts allow electronic signatures (“e-signatures”) to be as legally valid as traditional wet signatures, as long as certain requirements are met. Vanguard Title’s eSign platform eliminates the hassle of scheduling a face-to-face meeting to sign lengthy closing documents in person. Plus, it allows you to review the documents in advance of the closing, on your own time, using your smartphone, computer or tablet. Not only is eSigning fast and convenient, but it’s also secure, with sophisticated authentication to keep you and your data safe.
Close Anytime Anywhere. We make it easy.
Stuck in traffic? Out of town? Hitting the range? No problem! There’s no need for you to rearrange your schedule or rush to an in-person closing. In fact, with Vanguard Title, you can Close Anytime Anywhere — so we can (virtually) meet you right where you are, no matter where you are. Here’s how it works:
- You’ll receive a link to the online portal on the day of closing
- You’ll eSign all documents that do not require notarization
- We’ll verify your identity with a knowledge-based authentication quiz and ID photos
- You’ll then connect with a notary and sign the remaining documents for notarization (a Vanguard Title representative will join you on-line)
It’s that easy to let Vanguard save you time, money and stress.
We’re here to help with your closing – your way
Ready to get started on your way to closing? We’re ready to help! It’s important to note that not all documents can be signed electronically. In order to eSign, you’ll want to make sure you have sufficient technology/Internet access, are a U.S. citizen and have a tax ID number available (such as a Social Security number). We understand that some folks may still wish to close in person. We will Close Anytime Anywhere. You can rest easy, knowing we’ll be there to assist you every step of the way — whether you choose to eSign or not. And we have many options to make your in-person closing convenient as well.
